I am an experienced chartered clinical psychologist specialising in child and adolescent psychology. Primarily based in the South East, but working wider afield where required, I have a special interest in autism and learning disability. I provide bespoke clinical psychology input to schools and colleges, utilising evidence based approaches to support children and young people presenting with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
I offer consultation in relation to service development - with a particular focus on the implementation of system-wide positive behaviour support. I am committed to the development of innovative models of service delivery, which promote person centred and positive support for children with additional needs.
I work closely with staff teams, families, and directly with children, drawing on an integrative framework of therapeutic modalities tailored to the specific needs of individual clients. Whilst recognising the often complex and competing pressures experienced by and within organisations and families, I work always with the aim of fostering a collaborative approach.
As a practicing psychologist, it is of benefit that, when delivering training / staff CPD, I am well placed to relate theoretical models to current practice in the field. I have delivered training to a wide range of audiences and lectured on a number of professional training courses.
In addition to my direct clinical work, I am currently completing a research scholarship with the University of Kent (Tizard Centre). My research explores the promotion of self-determination for students with learning disability within special education.
Registered with the HCPC and BPS, I work strictly in accordance with standards laid down by both bodies.
